Here are some simple tips to keep you natural stone or quartz looking beautiful and to receive long life:
Use coasters under all glasses, especially those containing citrus juices or alcohol.
Use trivets or hot pads under pans and bakeware.
Clean up any spills on the surface immediately. Blot the spill, do not wipe. Clean the area with a safe cleaner and dry.
Clean the surface with warm water, a mild soap, and a clean soft cloth. You may also use a neutral cleaner.
An excessive concentration of cleaner may leave streaks or a film.
Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing and dry with a clean soft cloth.
It is recommended to NOT use products containing lemon, vinegar, or other acids as they may dull the surface and break down the sealer.
Scouring pads and cleaners contain abrasives may scratch the surface.
Do NOT use products containing hydrofluoric acid as it will attack certain elements of the surface.
Do NOT mix ammonia and bleach as the combonation produces leathal gas.
Sealing:
Natural Stone Products should be sealed to provide an extra layer of protection against staining. Sealer will NOT make the surface "Stain-Proof", it actually acts as a repellent making it more stain resistant. While some stones do not require sealer, many do. If the surface is exposed to sunlight, make sure the sealer being used is UV Stable. The sun will fade the surface over time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
