The Golden Rules

Coasters are Key: Always use coasters under glasses, especially those containing alcohol or citrus juices (which can etch natural stone).

Heat Protection: Use trivets or hot pads under all pans and bakeware. While stone is tough, extreme heat can damage the sealer on Granite or the resin in Quartz.

Blot, Don't Wipe: When a spill happens, blot it immediately with a clean paper towel. Wiping can spread the liquid further into the pores of the stone.

Mild is Best: For daily cleaning, use warm water, a mild dish soap, and a soft cloth. You can also use a "pH-neutral" stone cleaner.

Less is More: Avoid using an excessive concentration of soap, as it can leave a dull film or streaks on the surface.

The Final Step: Always rinse the surface with clean water and dry it with a soft, clean cloth to prevent water spots.

🛑 What to Avoid

NO Acids: Do not use lemon juice, vinegar, or cleaners containing acids. These will dull the polish and break down the protective sealer.

NO Abrasives: Avoid scouring pads or "gritty" cleaners, as they can microscopically scratch the surface.

NO Hydrofluoric Acid: Never use products containing this chemical, as it will physically attack the elements of the stone.

⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: Never mix ammonia and bleach. This combination produces a lethal gas.
